Wayne Jarvis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wayne David Jarvis, age 69, who left this world peacefully on May 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Providence in 1956, Wayne was the son of the late Roland and Elizabeth (Merchant) Jarvis and brother of the late Sharon (Jarvis) Shayer. He grew up in Burrillville where he raised a family in his childhood home before moving to Johnston where he lived for the past 18 years. Wayne dedicated 23 years of his career to Artcraft, Inc. before joining A&H Manufacturing Company. He was an expert craftsman as a designer and sample maker. Wayne lived a life marked by unwavering faith, deep love for his family, and a passionate embrace of the simple joys in life. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and stepfather, he is survived by his beloved wife Carol (Silva) Lincoln Jarvis, his two children Heather and Jared, three stepchildren, Pamela, Jennifer and Michael, and eight treasured grandchildren: Nicole, Allison, Robert, Macy, Lila, Alexis, Julianna and Ava—all of whom brought him immeasurable pride and joy. A man grounded in his Christian faith, Wayne was an active and cherished member of his church community. Whether volunteering his time, offering a listening ear, or sharing words of wisdom and encouragement, he led with compassion and humility. His faith was not just a part of his life—it was the foundation of everything he did. Wayne found peace and happiness in the great outdoors. He and Carol shared countless day trips and getaways—unplanned adventures filled with laughter, scenic routes, and memories that will last a lifetime. He loved the open road, especially when it meant riding his Harley-Davidson with the wind at his back and Carol by his side. Those who knew Wayne will remember his kind heart, steady presence, and deep appreciation for the beauty in life’s journey. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the stories he shared, and the love and time he gave so freely. A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Awakening Church, One New England Way in Smithfield, RI. Gather to greet family between 10:00 and 11:00 am. Formal service will begin at 11:00 am. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. "Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23
