Rosanne Laurel Riley

Rosanne Laurel (Bissonnette) “Noonie” Riley, 77, passed away March 23, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Inez (Cutropia) Bissonette; wife of the late Donald Riley; devoted mother of Gerald Zampa and his wife Tina of California and Kristen Smith of Coventry, RI; cherished grandmother of Adrianna Smith, Steven Smith and great-grandmother of Isabella Rose Ming all of Coventry, RI; sister of Donald Bissonnette and his wife Tie and the late Carl Bissonnette. Rosanne worked at Elmhurst Beauty Salon in Providence for 50+ wonderful years. It was originally her Mother's salon then became hers and there she worked beside her daughter Kristen for many years. She loved doing hair but most of all helping people feel good about themselves. She loved all of her clients like family. Throughout her adult life she was an avid traveler taking many trips to beautiful places such as Indonesia, Iran, Amsterdam, Brazil, and Japan just to name a few. Most of the trips she took with her brother Donald and his family and they always had a great time. She was one of the best Hi-low jack card players around and played on many card leagues over the years where she made good friends. She also loved all animals unconditionally and was an active advocate for rescue leagues and all different animal organizations. At one point in her home she had numerous fish, birds and dogs at the same time. She had countless dogs throughout her life and gave them all a caring loving home especially her Taco. She was very close with her family and had a unique special relationship with each person. She gave the greatest advice but was an even better listener. She always made everyone feel loved unconditionally and gave assurance that she was always there for you, which she was. She also had the best sense of humor and she could always make everyone laugh when they needed to the most. She loved all of her friends most became family Judy DeRobbio, Robert Argenti, Kathy O'Brien, Lisa O'Brien, Karen Lomax, Jerry James, Terri Love, the late John McGill and David DeRobbio and countless more especially Kevin Lomax who really helped her at the end of her life and is deeply appreciated by the family. Rosanne had the biggest heart filled with love, compassion and empathy. She lived a very spiritual, fulfilling life and made the greatest impact on all those whose paths she crossed. If you are one of the lucky ones to have met or known her then you know what I mean. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 20th at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Timothy’ Church, 1799 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI.
