Lorraine T. Doyle

Lorraine T. Doyle, 93 of North Scituate entered into eternal rest on April 21, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Doyle and Arthur Grace. Born and raised in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Chief Clyde Wilson, USN Ret. And Mildred (Daily) Wilson. Lorraine graduated from the Immaculate Conception School in the “old North End” and Saint Mary’s Academy of the Visitation. She married her late husband Arthur in 1954 and daughter Wanda was born the following year. She and Albert married in 1968 and together they raised Wanda and later became proud grandparents to their two adored grandsons and later great grandparents. Lorraine was a thoughtful, caring individual and one of the most generous individuals one could ever know. Her smiling face and upbeat demeanor touched all who knew her. She was loyal to her faith, her heritage and her friends. She was employed by The Providence Police department in the Human Resource Bureau for 24 years before retiring in 1991. After retiring, she was employed at Winfield and Sons Funeral Home and Sunset Apple Orchards in North Scituate, she loved every job she had. Lorraine was an active parishioner at St, Joseph’s Church in North Scituate where she served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister, She was a member and long time President of St. Joseph’s Women’s Guild and a former member of the Daughter’s of Isabella Council #839, she was a founding member and first Queen Mum of the Scituate Red Hatters. She was a member of the Saint Mary’s Alumni Association, Providence Local 1033 of the AFL-CIO. Emblem Club #1. Lorraine loved playing cards and was a regular player at the Pilgrim Center Hi-Lo-Jack League. Lorraine leaves her devoted daughter Wanda Rossi, her two cherished grandsons Gian-Carlo Rossi (Jasmine) and Nicholas Rossi (Jill) adored great grandchildren Annalyse, Margo, Theodore, Charlotte and Valentina. Lorraine also leaves behind her sister Gloria Zeoli and many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was the sister of the late Gerald Wilson, Clyde Wilson and Dorreen DiPaolo. She was the mother in law of the late Captain Alessandro Rossi PPD (Ret) and the mother of the late Michael Grace. Funeral Saturday, 9:00 AM from Winfield & Sons Funeral Home, 571 West Greenville Rd, Scituate, RI followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, Danielson Pike, Scituate, RI. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston. Visitation will be held Friday, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
