Lois Ann Richardson

Lois Ann Richardson, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, at the age of 91, due to congestive heart failure. Born on March 17, 1934, in Providence, Rhode Island, Lois lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep affection for her family and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert L. Richardson, and her son-in-law, Kenneth W. Potter. She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Dori Potter, and her son, Robert Richardson, Jr. Lois was a proud grandmother to Jennifer Potter and Maggie Richardson, as well as a loving step-grandmother to Alex DeLuca and Rosie DeLuca-Miller. Her heart also expanded to include her step-great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Liam Miller, who brought her immense joy. Throughout her life, Lois’s vibrant personality and charisma touched everyone she met. She had a profound love for her grandchildren and treasured the time spent with her family. Lois enjoyed her quiet mornings, sipping coffee while solving the daily crossword puzzle—a simple pleasure that brought her joy and a sense of accomplishment. When she wasn’t engaged in her puzzles, she could often be found nestled in her favorite chair, stitching or putting together intricate puzzles alongside her husband. Lois was an avid reader, immersing herself in stories across various genres, whether they consisted of ten chapters or thirty. Her love of literature was just one reflection of her rich and full character. Those who knew Lois will remember her for her warm spirit, infectious smile, and the unwavering love she shared with everyone around her. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the extraordinary team members at Riverview Nursing Home, where Lois spent her final years. Their dedication and compassion made her time there enjoyable and memorable, providing her with countless opportunities for engagement and fun. The friendships she formed during her stay became invaluable to her, and the memories created will be cherished by her family and friends alike. Lois Ann Richardson’s life was a testament to love, family, and the joy of simple moments. She will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
