Virginia Bradley, RN
December 17, 2021
Bradley, Virginia, RN, 80, North Providence, RI, “Vee”, as she was known to many who loved her, gently passed away on Friday December 17, 2021. Proudly Pawtucket, she was born, raised, and lived most of her life there, moving to North Providence just a few years ago. She graduated from Pawtucket West in 1959, then from Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing in 1962, where she had forged life long friendships with fellow nurses. For most of her 50+ year career she nursed in OBGYN private practices, and for over 25 with her dear friend and professional pal, Dr. Howard Hall, where she was beloved by her patients young and old. Plain speaking and to the point, but compassionate and kind with a wicked sense of humor, you always knew she cared. She loved nursing and her patients so very much that she continued to work part time until she was 73. Vee also loved spending time with her family, cooking for them, and creating a beautiful home. She had delightfully eclectic taste in decoration with that spicy humor tossed in you really never knew just what you might see! Her home was always a treat to explore with treasures in every corner, always beautifully appointed it brought her joy to share it with others. Vee leaves behind her sister, Carol Blanchard of Bradenton FL, two daughters, Gretchen Doyle Proulx with husband Dale Proulx of Cranston RI and Jennifer Doyle D’Ordine with husband Michael D’Ordine of North Providence RI; three grandsons, Ethan Proulx, Jake Proulx, and MJ D’Ordine all of whom will miss her greatly. A graveside service will be held Monday May 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston. Luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Episcopal Conference Center, 872 Reservoir Road, Pascoag, RI 02859
