Knowlton, Robert E., of Greene, passed away October 15th at home. He was the husband of Mary (Hall) Knowlton. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Leon and Gladys (Hercov) Knowlton. He worked for Federal Products of Providence as an Indicator Repairman for 44 years until his retirement in July of 2002. He was an avid clock collector, a member of Moosup Valley Grange, member of Rice City Church and was a member of the South County Rod and Gun Club for 50 years. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed, hunting, fishing, gardening, kayaking, skeet shooting and taking long walks in the field with his dogs. Besides his wife he leaves 4 children; Robert A. Knowlton of Coventry, William D. Knowlton of Coventry, Kenneth E. Knowlton of Westerly and Wendy L. Knowlton of Coventry. A memorial service will be held Saturday October 31st at 11AM at Rice City Church, 62 Vaughn Hollow Rd., Greene. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Nature Conservancy of RI at nature.org or to Mt.
