Miriam A. Cunniff, 85, of Foster, passed away on February 16, 2021. She was the beloved wife of John Cunniff. Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Helena (Hartigan) Potter. Besides her husband, she is survived by her children; Mark Cunniff and his wife Deborah of South Kingstown, John Cunniff of Foster, Paul Cunniff and his wife Claudia of Foster, Patricia Morneau and her husband Michael of Sterling, CT and Jennifer Pelis and her husband James of Newton, MA. 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was the sister of William Potter and Donald Potter. She was a graduate of Roger Williams Nursing School and had a long career as a registered nurse. She was adored by her children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and anyone who knew her. It was a great honor to help her bake her famous apple and blueberry pies although we could never replicate them. Mim enjoyed traveling to her vacation house, “Ridgeview”, in New Hampshire, where many fun memories were made. She was a great example of unconditional love and we are all better people because of her. She was predeceased by her grandson, Alexander Cunniff. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the Foster Food Pantry, 181 Howard Hill Road, Foster, RI 02825 or Moosup Valley Volunteer Fire Department, 55 Moosup Valley Road, Foster, RI 02825. Services will be private.
