    Mildred Arline Corey

    Mildred Arline Corey passed into the arms of God on July 4, 2017. She was born September 5, 1924. She was the wife of the late John Lester Corey. Arline was the daughter of the late Emery and Mildred Sweet and the sister of the late Ethel Bertholic. She was a resident of Foster all of her life with many summers spent in Alton Bay, New Hampshire. She leaves her daughter Judi DuClau (Bob) of Scituate and two step-daughters Joan Gaudreau and Sylvia Johnson both of Foster. Her Grandchildren Cassandra duCharme (Russell), Jonnathon DuClau (Amanda), Joseph DuClau (Michelle), Arne Johnson (Carol), Jeffrey Gaudreau (Dora), Eric Johnson, Timothy Johnson, and Valerie Johnson. Many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also her loving nephew Bart Bertholic of Washington. Arline worked many jobs throughout her life. Acme Cotton, Providence Rubber Co., Welch™s Manufacturing Co., Textron, but mostly at her father™s store, Sweet\\\'s Market, as a butcher. She loved nature of all sorts. She enjoyed birds, flowers, feeding the different wild animals that would wander to her door at Hemlock Village where she resided for 22 years. She was a past President at Hemlock Village. She was also a CB enthusiast for many years using the handle Rhubarb. She lived at Nancy Ann Nursing Home until her passing. She was a Life Member of the Foster Ambulance Corp and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Foster Young At Heart, South Foster Fire Company Auxiliary, and the Scituate Seniors. She was known as HUGS by many because hugs were her special gift. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:00 am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 251 Danielson Pike, North Scituate, RI. Followed by a burial at Phillips Cemetery in Foster with a collation at South Foster Fire Company. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the South Foster Fire Company. In her memory when attending the memorial service please wear her favorite color red.
