Mary L. Hopkins, age 80 , of North Scituate, Rl passed away peacefully on April 11, 2022. Mary was born March 17, 1942 in Providence, Rl to Gladys and Charles Loomis of North Scituate, RI. Mary is preceeded in death by her husband and the love of her life Robert “Bob” Hopkins whom she was married to for 56 years. Mary is survived by their children: Donald R. Hopkins and his wife Debra of North Scituate, Rl, and Tammy K. Bode and her husband Randolph of Ocean City MD; four grandchildren: Bradley Hopkins and his wife Maria, Jessica Hopkins, Maximilian Bode and his wife Abigail and Mitchell Bode as well as two great grandchildren Alexander and Sophia Hopkins. A Funeral Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday April 15th gathering will begin at 10:15 a.m. with the service at 11:00 a.m. in the Winfield & Sons Funeral Home, 571 W. Greenville Road, Scituate. A private family burial will follow. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607 where Mary spent many months of her childhood recovering from Polio.
