Marilyn Lois (Gavasso) Biagetti, 75, of Harrisville, passed away November 8, 2019, in the comfort of her own home. Marilyn was born in Woonsocket to Albert and Atea (Bologna) Gavasso on October 9, 1944. She grew up on Garden Street, and graduated from Bellingham High School. She went on to work as a Quality Control Technician at several facilities, including Texas Instruments, where she met her future husband, Roger Biagetti, and TMI. Marilyn loved flying, and was a member of the 99’s Women Pilots Association and a dedicated member of the Rhode Island Pilots Association, where she acted as Secretary, Treasurer, Scholarship Coordinator, and Editor of “The Plane Paper” for many, many years. She enjoyed Friday night dinner and card games with her brother and sister-in law, Bob and Ruth Biagetti and taking frequent trips to her beautiful lake-front home in Canada. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Linda Jackson, and her son John Joseph Mario Biagetti. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Roger Biagetti, her daughters; Lois Moriarty and husband Sean and Justina (Tina) Biagetti and husband John, her 7 grandchildren; Neven, Alexander, Samantha, Patrick, Brendan, Molly and Madison, all of Burrillville, her siblings; Joseph and his wife Irene Gavasso of Washington State, Roy and his late wife Noreen Gavasso of Eastham as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A time of gathering and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 16th, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Winfield and Sons Funeral Home, 571 West Greenville Road, Scituate, RI.
