Duhaime, Margaret S. “Peggy”, passed into eternal light on May 27, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert A. Duhaime for 64 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Austin and Grace (Drake) Gillis. A graduate of St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1948, where she worked for several years and was a life member of the Alumni Association. Peggy was an active member of St. Joseph’s Church, former choir member and Woman’s Guild member. She was a ninth generation american on her maternal side. Tracing her ancestry to John Drake who emigrated from England in 1648 to Massachusetts. She enjoyed History and Genealogy. She leaves a daughter Nancy Gravel and her husband Mark of Danielson, CT, two grandchildren Patrick Willis and Meghan von Ballmoos, two great granddaughters Emma and Madeline von Ballmoos. She is predeceased by her siblings Douglas, Regina, Chester and George Gillis, Grace Warren and Marion Robinson. Funeral Friday at 9:00 a.m. from the Winfield & Sons Funeral Home, 571 West Greenville Road, Scituate, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Church, Scituate. Burial will be private. Calling hours Thursday 4-7:00 p.m.. In lieu of Flowers donations in her memory may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
