Karen Theresa Casey, 67, of Johnston RI passed away, peacefully in her home surrounded by her children. Karen was born on the seventeenth of May, in 1954 at the Lying-Inn Hospital, in Providence Rhode Island, to parents Mildred Agnes Cota and James Joseph Casey. She attended St Teresa's School and later graduated from Mount Pleasant High School, both in Providence. For the last seventeen years she worked as a pharmacy technician at Dominion Diagnostics in North Kingstown RI. Karen had a passion for the ocean, for the stars, for music, for singing together with her closest friends and most of all; for her three children. Over the last few years; the greatest joy in her life came from fully embracing being a grandmother. She found inspiration and solace in the words of the likes of John Lennon and Carl Sagan. Karen leaves behind a large and loving family. Her three children, Allen J. Campbell II of Johnston, Bradley John Campbell and his wife Melissa McCafferty of Providence, Heather R. Campbell and her husband Alex Malstrom of North Kingstown. She also leaves behind two sisters, Lorraine Casey of Johnston and Cheryl Casey of Providence as well as three grandchildren, Casey May Campbell, Emmeline Robyn Campbell and Noah Behan along with many nieces and nephews. Karen left an impact on those she met and was loved by all. She will indeed be missed. She will always be remembered. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 17th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Winfield & Sons Funeral Home, 571 West Greenville Road, Scituate.
