Joseph Paul LaFauci

Joseph Paul LaFauci, born January 7, 1950, passed peacefully at home on July 6, 2021, in the care of his beloved wife, Sandra. Joseph, known as a versatile athlete upon graduating Classical High School in 1968, receiving Varsity letters in golf, continued with impressive victories throughout his Providence College years (graduating in 1972) and beyond. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra DeChristofaro LaFauci and four daughters; Gina and husband, David Murray, Brenda and husband, Robert Wolfe, Lisa and husband, Robert Pare’ II, Rhonda and husband, Thomas Carlson, along with 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Born of loving parents; the late Lawrence LaFauci and Angela Ritacco LaFauci. He is survived by his beloved Uncle, Louie LaFauci and Wife. Joe is survived by a devoted brother, Larry LaFauci and wife Joanne and their three children; Larry, Vanessa and Lana, along with their spouses and children. Many loving family, friends and colleagues thought the world of Joe! Joseph enjoyed his family, rich conversation, good food, reading, the outdoors, golfing and was passionate in teaching his college students at Roger Williams University and Johnson & Wales. He had great faith and often spoke of salvation as being a necessity in this life! More recently he was preparing himself for Heaven in reading accounts of near death experiences, reading his Bible and praying for God’s mercy in taking him from this debilitating disease. God surely heard his prayers as he is now pain free and breathing new breath of life. He has been deeply loved and will truly be missed by all of us! Visitation will be held Wednesday July 14th from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. in the Winfield & Sons Funeral Home, 571 West Greenville Road, Scituate, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, Danielson Pike , Scituate. Burial is Private. The family would like to give a sincere thank you to the Beacon Hospice “Angel” nurses, especially Alyson and Karen, the CNA, along with the Special care team of fill-in nurses that cared for Joseph.
