Herbert J. Stanton, 87, formerly of Old Mill Boulevard, passed away Sunday January 8, 2017. Born in Maine, he was a son of the late Daniel Stanton and Mildred (Lynch) Lipinski. Mr. Stanton worked at Brown University for over 30 years under Professor Garland as a Metallurgist. He was a hard worker all of his life and he could always be seen helping people out.He leaves, one daughter, Catherine Tomek and her husband Andrew of CT, three grandchildren, Bill, Bryan and Ben and three great grandchildren. He also leaves his loving and trusting guardian and cousin Evelyn Clement, her husband James and their children Cheryl Rogers, Karen Stetson and James Clement III and many nieces and nephews.His funeral service and burial will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Historic Chapel at Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd, Providence. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday 6-8:00 p.m. in the Winfield & Son™s Funeral Home, 571 West Greenville Road, Scituate.
