McLEAN, HARRY B., JR., \\\"BUD\\\", 82, of Cranston, died at home. He was a loving husband to Constance, \\\"Connie\\\" (Grezlik), for 52 years, son of the late Harry and Gladys (Bowen) McLean, devoted father to Susan Verdelotti and her husband Raymond, Lisa Best and her husband Andrew, Melanie Chace and her husband Richard, proud grandfather of Nicholas Chace, Aron Barnett, Brittany Chace, and Michael Verdelotti and a great-grandfather to Shaelyn Barnett, brother of the late Donald McLean and the late June (McLean) Anderson.Bud was a past Lodge Master Mason and member-in-good-standing for over 50 years of St. Andrews Lodge #39, and a member of the Sword of Bunker Hill.He played the saxophone, clarinet and slide trombone, was honorably discharged from the National Guard as a corporal in the 88th Army Band, played professionally with the Quarry Heights Quintet, the Very Seldom Jazz Band, and other groups.Bud started his career as a truck mechanic, was owner and president of Diamond REO of RI, an owner/operator for the Elite Fleet of Mayflower Moving and Storage, and later United Van Lines. After retirement he continued to drive professionally for several local companies.He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved solving crossword puzzles.Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of life and a Masonic tribute at the Cranston Country Club, 69 Burlingame Road, Cranston, Saturday, from 1-4 PM. Buffet provided, cash bar.
