Robert M. Conley, of Warwick, RI. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert M. Conley also known as Bob, a beloved father and friend, who left us peacefully Tuesday December 12th, 2023, at the Morgan Nursing Home and Rehab in Johnston, RI. Robert was the son of the late James E. and Veronica (Hassell) Conley. He is survived by his son Robert. He was the brother of Dennis J. and the late James E. and Kevin J. Conley. His friends that were like family Tracie Bowen and her husband Charlie Bowen and their children Justin, Dalton, Hunter and Skyla. Robert, born and raised in Providence, was a man of exceptional character and kindness. His life was a testament to his unwavering dedication to his family, his passion for his community, and his relentless pursuit of knowledge. He served in Vietnam as a Military Police Officer and spent his career as a respected professional in his field and a business owner, touching the lives of many with his wisdom and generosity. A true family man at heart, Robert was a loving and devoted father. His guidance and love shaped the life of his child, leaving a legacy of strength, integrity, and compassion. Robert's interests were diverse and reflected his curious and engaging nature. An avid reader, he had an insatiable thirst for learning. He was into sports, card leagues music, festivals, and hanging out with his friends and family. His contributions to the community were numerous and impactful. He was an active member of several local organizations, where he volunteered his time and expertise to make a difference in the lives of others. Robert's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory, however, will live on through the love he shared, the wisdom he imparted, and the many lives he touched. He is survived by his loving family, friends, and a community that will deeply miss his presence. As we say goodbye to Robert, we find comfort in our cherished memories and the knowledge that his spirit will forever be a guiding light in our lives. A Committal Service with Military Honors to celebrate Robert's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday January 3rd at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 S. County Trail, Exeter. Please plan to gather at the administration parking lot no later than 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the American Cancer Society, a cause close to Robert's heart.
