Patricia Anne Pierce

Patricia Anne (Leavens) Pierce, 84, of Cranston, RI, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, in Providence, RI. She was the daughter of the late William J. and Catherine A. (Mullaney) Leavens. She was predeceased by her sisters, Doris M. Leavens and Anne Marie Long; her grandson, Nicholas R. Iadeluca; and her former husband, Victor H. Pierce. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen A. Pierce, and granddaughter, Sarah K. Aughinbaugh, with whom she lived in Cranston, RI; her daughter, Christine M. Iadeluca (partner Gregory Iadeluca), grandson, Kyle G. Iadeluca, and granddaughter, Meghan E. Iadeluca, of East Greenwich, RI; and her son, Michael W. Pierce (wife Courtney Pierce), of Brevard, North Carolina. Patricia grew up on the East Side of Providence and graduated from St. Patrick High School. She spent the majority of her life in North Kingstown, where she raised her three children. She enjoyed hosting family and friends for the holidays. A true homemaker, she was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones, her garden, and her cats. Patricia later worked at HomeGoods prior to her retirement. In 2004, Patricia relocated to Cranston, RI, where she helped care for her granddaughter alongside her daughter, Kathleen. She made a lasting impact as a loving grandmother and was affectionately known as “Granny” to many. Patricia enjoyed reading, crocheting, coffee ice cream, hot wieners, and her favorite movie, “White Christmas.” In the last year of her life, Patricia cultivated many friendships through her dialysis treatments at Innovative Renal Care Dialysis Center of West Warwick. She was especially touched by the kindness and companionship she found with her MTM drivers, Peter and Sam, and by the dignity and compassion they showed her during some of her most vulnerable moments. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday August 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston, RI 02920. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Patricia’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
