John Albert Marsocci

John Albert Marsocci, affectionately known as “Johnny” by his mother, 60, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 11, 2025 after a strong battle against cancer. In sum, John lived a beautiful life. John was born on March 31, 1965 in Providence, RI to loving parents Michael and Rose Marsocci. He moved to Johnston, RI before the age of two and was raised there with his siblings, graduating from Johnston High School in 1984. John was a devout Catholic for much of his life and a member of Our Lady of Grace Church in Johnston, RI. Later on, he received a new life in Christ and became a member of the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Johnston, RI. John was a kind, compassionate, loving, and truly genuine person who was always ready to help family, friends, and strangers. John lived simply and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching football, going on road trips with his children, visiting amusement parks of any kind, and hunting for the best pizza place wherever he was. John was a dedicated father and his greatest passion was his four children; He was immensely proud of them and always ready to share a story, video, or picture whenever he had the opportunity. John is preceded in death by his loving parents, Michael and Rose (Quaglieri) Marsocci. He is survived by his children Jacob Marsocci (Hannah Ilagan), Joshua Marsocci, Giavanna Marsocci, and Luciano Marsocci; siblings Michael Marsocci, Linda Mollicone, and David Marsocci; nephews Matthew Marsocci and Nicholas Mollicone; niece Brittany Mollicone; former spouse Jennifer Marsocci; and former spouse Margot Wolf. He is also survived by countless cousins and many dear friends who all considered John their “best friend”. John was the youngest member of his family, but was the one relied upon the most by his siblings for advice or comfort. His loss leaves a void in the heart of his family that cannot be replaced. He set an example for his children of grace, love, and compassion which has shaped their character and made them better people; his absence is immense and he will be deeply missed by them. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM with a funeral service at 11:00 AM in Trinity Assembly of God Church, 2119 Hartford Ave, Johnston, RI. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI.
