Raimondi, Rita L. (Hanson), 66, of North Scituate, passed away December 18, 2017. She was the wife of Angelo Michael Raimondi for 48 years. She was a daughter of the late Richard P. and Elsie M. (Schmidt) Hanson. Rita was beloved by all who knew her. She was known for her loving, caring nature, as well as for her mischievous, fun side. She was the de facto aunt, great-aunt, and mother figure to many and a good sister and daughter-in-law. She had life-long friendships with many wonderful people, including Deborah Werchadlo, Linda Darcy and Rose D’Arezzo. Rita had a natural talent for visual art, and was well known for her intricately knitted pumpkin hats, homemade Halloween costumes, and hand-sewn prom dresses. She won prizes for her apple and lemon meringue pies, and built the best backyard sled runs in human history. She served as a mentor in an elementary school program, and donated hand-knitted infant hats to a local hospital. By serving as positive role models, she and her husband Mike imparted onto their children values of inclusiveness and respect for others, and taught them the importance of doing good in the community. Besides her husband, Rita is survived by her 3 daughters Jennifer R. Raimondi, Julie M. Raimondi and Jessica D. Raimondi. Her grandson Mason J. Raimondi, her twin sister Ruth E. Michaud, her half brother David E. Hanson as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was also the sister of the late Eric C. Hanson, Robert G. Hanson and Richard P. Hanson, II.
