Milton E. Cook, 90, lifelong resident of Cumberland passed away at home Aug. 8th.  He was the husband of the late Lucille (Gaskill) Cook.  He was the brother of the late Lincoln Cook and Grace (Cook) Savignac.

He is survived by his daughters Judith Cook, Barbara  (Cook) Durkin both of Cumberland and Lesley Cook of Arnold, CA, three grandchildren Christopher and wife Victoria Durkin, Ashley Durkin, Heather Durkin and Great Grandaughter Sophia Durkin. He is also survived by nephew/caregiver Mickey Wayne and 8 nieces and nephews.
Milton served in the Army/Airforce during WWII as an airplane mechanic.  Milton a mechanic by trade owned and operated Cook’s Service Station for many years.  He taught automotive shop at Central Vocational School in Providence, later becoming head of the automotive department there.  He was director at Woonsocket Voc.-Tech. School.  His final retirement was from teaching Automotive Technology at New Englalnd Institute of Technology in Warwick.
A memorial will be held Sept. 2nd at Arnold Mills United Methodist Church. Calling hour between 11:00-11:30 a.m. and service at 11:30 a.m.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Habitat For Humanity.
